Message by the Principal
At the College* we strive for excellence, quality and creativity in our way of work and believe in the community that we serve. Alongside our strategic partners, we are committed to identify the social and economic needs of the region and strive to fulfil these needs by educating communities in order to gain the necessary skills to become independent corporate citizens that contribute to the growth of our region, our community and our nation as a whole.
Education is something we strongly believe in – our students wouldn’t reach the top if we didn’t. But what sets us apart from other establishments in our field is our absolute dedication to the quality of education being offered.
*Established in 1998 through the merger of four independent Education and Training Institutions.
The below clip, as shown on KykNET’s Ontbytsake, offers a quick and informative look at Boland College – with specific mention of our locations, some programmes and more.
As one of six Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in the Western Cape, we have five campuses in Caledon, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Strand and Worcester respectively. These campuses offer a variety of career-orientated programmes that prepare students successfully for the workplace.
Our qualifications are designed to provide both the theory and practical experience related to a particular vocational field. This ensures access to work opportunities in a work environment or sector relevant to the field of study. For a full list of our academic programmes, please refer to the “What to Study” section.
Student Supporters are situated at each of our campuses to assist our students with counselling, academic development, career guidance and job hunting skills. If you require financial assistance, options are available through various Award- and Bursary schemes from the College and/or private organisations.
The Student Representative Council (SRC) and House Committees (HC’s) on each campus are responsible for organising social activities ranging from dances and sport activities to various charity events. This is the perfect opportunity to experience new cultures, make new friends and create lasting memories.
All campuses participate in a wide range of summer and winter sports, which offers keen competition in various inter college sport days and inter campus leagues.
We invite you to browse our website and hope that you enjoy the virtual experience with us! If you need more information – please get in touch via any of our departments or campuses.
