National Certificate (Vocational):  Civil Engineering and Building Construction (Levels 2-4)

Requirements:  Grade 9 Certificate or equivalent qualification

Campuses:  Paarl and Strand

Duration:  One full-year per level

Vocational activities:  Participate in the operation and maintenance of construction equipment and machinery;  Participate in the construction of roads, bridges, dams, railways, houses;  Participate in the design and construction of tunnels, factories, reservoirs;  Participate in the erection of reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber and masonry structures

Career Opportunities:  Entry level masonry, Construction work, Building engineer, Construction planning
