The Jacaranda Residence students, along with supervisor, Lionel Williams, showed initiative by launching this project in aid of the pediatric ward. It forms part of the Campus’ Corporate Social Investment (CSI) project which will now become a standing drive due to the success of the past initiative. “We wish to thank every staff member for their contribution and look forward to this initiative growing bigger and bigger,” said Williams.
The campus together with various other partners is also warming up hearts this winter at the Groenheuwel Primary School. The campus has joined this venture by allowing their Educare and Hospitality students to assist in this project. The Educare students is assisting the young children after school with homework and development, and the children’s food is prepared by the Hospitality students. This assistance takes place every Thursday at the Groenheuwel Primary School and anyone wishing to receive more information can contact Marion de Vries at the Paarl Campus.
“Projects like these that are initiated by students themselves and where they give back to the community by using what they have learnt in their respective fields, makes Boland College extremely proud,” said Marion de Vries, Campus Marketer.
